The child in all of is always asking this question in one form or another every single day.

Why are we worried about how long it takes for our laundry to finish?

In this podcast episode, I talk briefly about a few experiences that we experience in our daily lives. For example, why is the road trip longer on the way to the in-law’s house than the way back?

Turns out there is hard psychological evidence. Our brains are wired to take in the information that’s useful and pertinent and throw away what’s not. Okay, nothing earth shattering there. But, how do we utilize this very system to cram a little bit more into our daily routine?

They say that 24 hours isn’t enough but most of us would completely waste an additional hour if we were somehow granted 25 total hours a day by a magic genie.
